Mooooo cow!

October 27, 2009

So, I lied.  I haven’t been upkeeping this blog very well.  Don’t ask me why because I don’t know.  I have no reason other than pure laziness.

Here’s some things you’ve missed while I’ve been away.

  1. I have gained 5 lbs since August
  2. I haven’t been to the gym since August
  3. Operation MMLM will NOT be undergone (?)
  4. I’m a jack-tard

Ok, so one fine day in August I went to the gym early in the morning and worked out REALLY REALLY hard.  I ran a lot and just kicked MAJOR ass.  I was so proud of myself.  Then I walked to work!  A coworker of mine asked me if I wanted to go walking after work and I said YEAH!  I mean, come on, another chance to get my sweat on?  I was really starting to enjoy working out.

Unfortunately it came to a pretty quick halt.  I got off work an hour before my coworker and so I waited for her around the store.  While waiting for her I noticed a suspicious looking kid with a pack of lighters.  He was probably about 15 or 16, certainly not old enough to be buying lighters.  So, I started following him.  My friend spotted him in an aisle and motioned that he didn’t have the lighters.  As he was heading toward the door I stopped him and questioned about the lighters.  He said he laid them down somewhere, and I told him that he needed to show me where.

He lead us toward the back and stopped, grabbed his phone and started pretending like someone was on the other end saying that someone was hurt and he was like, “Oh my god.  Is she ok?!”  And tried to walk off.  My friend stopped him and told him that he needed to tell us where the lighters were or she would call the police.  So he confessed that they were in his pocket.  I told her to go ahead and call the cops which is a standard procedure so we can get a “No Trespass Order” placed against them.   The kid tried to leave but I stepped in his way.  Then he charged into me, knocking me to the tile floor on my knee, and took off running.  I was shortly behind him.  I knew I wasn’t going to catch him, but I wanted to see which direction he was headed.

Well, nothing really came of it.  They arrested the kid and I found out that he’s had MULTIPLE assault charges on cops, and theft warrants.  They arrested him a month later and he was back out on the streets the next day.

Welllllll him knocking me to ground ended my gym career for a while.  I landed on my knee on the hard tile floor and it really messed it up.  I couldn’t go up steps without nearly bursting into tears.  And it’s only until now that it hasn’t bothered me.  So, almost 3 months now.  It still gives me problems when I’m driving or if I sleep funny.

As far as the gaining of 5 lbs, yeah that’s due to some baaaaad choices on my part.  Because I wasn’t excercising I wasn’t eating right either.  My bad.

Operation MMLM?  Don’t worry, it’s nothing.  I was seeing this guy named “M” but it fizzled out pretty quickly.

Anyhoo, I’m going to start going to the gym again here REALLY soon!  I simply cannot wait!

Oh, side note.  I do have to wait until I get a new MP3 player because some asshat stole my zen stone and my phone.  I got my phone back but not my stone :(   It’s ok, it wasn’t that expensive and all of my music’s on my computer…at least most of it anyway.  I can’t run without music!

August 2, 2009

Ok, so this post won’t make a lot of sense to most of the people that read this.  However, it’s not going to stop me.

My friend Thomas and I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri on Friday to see Leslie Hall.  She is an internet celebrity (those of you with kids, yes she’s been on Yo Gabba Gabba).  She’s a rapper of sorts, but she’s SO much more.  She’s amazing and I’m going to share my memories with you :)

Oh, side note: Her thing is “gem sweaters” she has a mobile Gem Sweater museum and collects them.  So this would be why we’re wearing gem sweaters :)

I’ve included my current favorite song :) It’s called “Willow” it’s about Willow from the movie Willow…enjoy!

Operation MMLM

July 28, 2009

It’s an acronym for something I can’t quite say yet.

HOWEVER!

Something good has happened to me, something unstable, but good.  Which is why MMLM is in motion, it is why I WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET TO A NORMAL SIZE.

From now on, I will be blogging daily.  Measurements will be posted every. single. day.

Starting, today!

Measurements:

Chest: 38

Waist: 34 3/4

Hips: 48

Gut: 44     <—-isn’t that gross?!?  Yuckers!

Anyhoo, this shit WILL BE DONE!

This is gonna suck.

July 18, 2009

So I’ve not been to the gym for a week and a half because A) I threw my back out.  B) My membership ran out, and didn’t have funds to go.

Whiny excuses I know!  And, I even made it to the 20 lbs mark.  I lost 20 lbs.  I was actually pert near 30 lbs until I gained some back when I stopped gymming it up.  And started eating horribly.  It’s going to change again.  I just tend to go through this.  Do really good, then slip, then do really good, then slip.  It’s a vicious cycle.

I am planning on going again, so no worries.  I just gotta make myself do it.  It’ll be fine.  It’s gonna suck and hurt, but it’ll be fine.  I’m building a resistance to the pain.  Woohoo.

OH, another reason why I’ve not blogged in SO long is because my computer had a virus and a friend of mine had to wipe everything off of it and reinstall junk.  So, I had to wait like 2 weeks for him to actually get it and fix it lol.

Anyhoo, that’s all for now.  I promise I will post more often! And what did I say if I disappeared again?  You guys were suppose to email me!  Tsk tsk.

Relay for Life Event!

June 13, 2009

I swear to everything holy I lost like 20 lbs from the Relay for Life event!  Not just from walking around the track all night, but also from dancing.  I am a dancing machine.

For those of you who don’t know what Relay for Life is, it’s a campaign designed by the American Cancer Society to celebrate the survivors of cancer, remember the ones who lost their lives to cancer, and fighting back to find a cure for cancer.  Relay for Life teams try raise money, and at the end there’s a big event where the Teams compete in themed laps.

Well anyway, this was my first year on Relay and I had so much fun!  Nevermind the fact that I had just gotten a wisdom tooth ripped from my skull earlier that morning, I was excited!  I walked a lot but only competed in 2 themed laps, “The 50’s” and “Revenge of the Nerds”.  In order to get points you have to have a lot of enthusiasm and dance and just have fun with it!  And I’ll admit, I had too much fun with the Revenge of the Nerds lap :)

My 50's outfit

My hair is in a teeny tiny beehive.  It wasn’t good conditions to be doing a beehive.  The air was hot and wet, and my hair was going limp and dead.  Luckily Tara kicked it up for me.  She rocked so hard!  I got 3rd in this lap!

I did have my pants rolled up, but they kept falling down.  And that skirt was just so dang short!  But hey, WE GOT FIRST PLACE!!!!

It was so much fun, and I am SO worn out.  Staying up all night, and walking and just dancing and being silly.  It’s darn exhausting!  But I loved it!

Hey hey!

Yeah, it’s been like 2 months, I’m aware.  I’ve been SO unbelievably lazy.  I think I gained like all my weight back.  Which I’m ok with at the moment.  I did this to me, and I’m the one who didn’t go to the gym, I’m the one who decided that one more hot pocket wouldn’t be SO terrible.  Anyway, it’s all good because I’m going to start working out again soon.

So, here’s what’s been going on in my neck of the woods.

I met a guy, very sweet, very nice, very cute :)   He does, however, make me feel a little self-conscious about myself when I’m with him.  Not that he intends to, but it’s just that he has like, muscles.  I really don’t think he has much body fat on him at all.  And he doesn’t eat much.  So when we go out I’m eating like they’ve not fed me in weeks and he’s got a bird’s appetite!  (Fun side fact, that colloquialism is fallacious since birds eat like twice their weight)  Anyway.  So yeah, he’s kind of inadvertently making me want to go to the gym.

I’ve been sick.  No, not with Swine Flu.  I dunno what it is exactly but I’m all coughy and nauseous.  I went to the doctor, he gave me an inhaler, and get this, Adipex.  So, once I’m done with being sick I can start bouncing off the walls when I work out!

I feel like a failure almost by taking adipex.  I couldn’t do it on my own.  I was too lazy to do it on my own.  Perhaps I should just accept that fact and move on.

Italy is apparently DEFINITELY on.  My mother gave me my old passport from when I was 2, I was SOOO cute.  I’ll have to get a picture of it on here.  So, I need to get my new one soon.  The only thing stopping me from going is work.

OH!  And in 2 weeks I will be in Missouri for a friend’s wedding!  I’ve never met him before, we’ve been best friends for 3 years and he’s getting married and I’m totally going!  I’m really excited!

Um.  I’m inbetween books at the moment.  I’m currently reading:

  1. The Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank
  2. The Last Summer (of You and Me) by Ann Brashares (apparently she wrote Sisterhood of the traveling pants?)
  3. Dispatches from the Edge by Anderson Cooper (I actually just finished it tonight)
  4. The Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson
  5. A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby
  6. Good Things by Mia King
  7. Talk to the Hand by Lynn Truss

Yeah, that’s a lot of books.  And technically I’m only in between reading 1, 2, 4 and 6.  5 and 7 haven’t arrived yet.  And here’s the thing, I read 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson and I wasn’t too happy with it.  I REALLY want to like her writing but I just couldn’t!  I’m HOPING that Bermudez Triangle will be better.  If not then I give up on her.

Anyway, I just wanted to update and let you guys know that I’m NOT abandoning this, I’m just…on hiatus.
